WEAKNESSES: Lienne is very impressionable and likes stability in her life when it comes to social interaction. She also forms notions of people based on her interactions with them, so when they turn out to be different than what she thought they were, (say, a person who pretended to be nice to her suddenly turns cold) she feels like she's been betrayed. If someone she hated starts being kind to her, she gets confused. When this happens, she can go into a slump until someone gives her the kick in the rear she needs. She can also be too loyal, refusing to see the faults in those she likes and admires, or the good qualities in those she dislikes.
STRENGTHS: Once you gain her friendship and trust, Lienne is your ally through and through unless something tears you apart. She will fiercely defend you even if you're not on the best terms. Also loves challenges and gives everything her all. Usually handles stressful situations well and can adapt to changing environments.

PERSONALITY: Lienne is a very adaptable person with a few exceptions. She can adjust to stressful situations. To other people, she is warm and friendly, almost motherly, until there is conflict. Then she will do everything in her power to ignore you in favor of those she does like. Once she forms an opinion of a person, she sticks to it like glue. Not the best thing, especially if things just started out wrong. It's cost her a lot of friendships she could have had, but didn't take due to a bad first meeting.

Lienne loves music, (plays the flute/piccolo) and especially dance. She spends a lot of time listening to headphones and moving to the beat. A lot of her money is spent at the record store, and by extension, she likes to watch movies and video games, especially if they have awesome soundtracks.

She has a lot of drive and ambition, but she doesn't know what to do with it, and thus spends a lot of time not doing anything productive until something fun comes along. Her grades aren't as high as they could be as a result, but she still does relatively well.
BACKGROUND: Van Thi Lienne is of Vietnamese descent. Both her parents immigrated as teenagers with their families to California where they adjusted well to their new lives. Her parents met at work and were married a year and a half later. They decided to give their child a more western sounding name, and chose Lienne, a variation of the western name Liane. Lienne is an only child with no siblings to speak of. She has had many pets over the years, multiple small animals and a dog, but they have all passed away. Were she not going to be going away to college soon, she would have adopted something else to care for.

Lienne lived in California and speaks fluent English and Japanese, and a little bit of Vietnamese. (The family usually spoke English.) All in all, her life is fairly normal, or at least it was until she first experienced the Dark Hour, about a month ago, but has been unable to remember it fully. She spent it in her room experiencing nausea. Soon after, she received a letter for SEES recruitment. She wrote back saying that she wasn't ready to leave her family. Oddly after that, her parents were offered new, high paying jobs in Japan and another letter asking for her cooperation arrived. Although the Dark Hour scares her, it also fascinates her and she could not resist the opportunity to learn more any longer. She wrote back giving her agreement.
